National First-Class Technician, Jiangxi Provincial Arts and Crafts Master

As an inheritor of the Qing Dynasty official kiln famille rose porcelain intangible cultural heritage and the executive vice president of the Jingdezhen Ceramic Chamber of Commerce, Xu Zhijun, who just turned 40, has been deeply involved in the famille rose porcelain craft for 24 years.

Influenced by the ceramic culture of Jingdezhen, he chose the more challenging famille rose technique at an early age. For many years, he has adhered to the traditional handcrafting methods of famille rose in the Yongzheng style, focusing on the creation of classic patterns. He has been awarded the titles of representative inheritor of intangible cultural heritage at the municipal level in Jingdezhen and first-level ceramic product designer (senior technician). In Jingdezhen, where famille rose kilns are scarce, he has always adhered to the principle of "specializing in a single craft".

In 2018, he founded "Xu Kiln" based on his family's kiln history. He built the kiln brand through standardized operations, broke through the family workshop model, and gradually expanded the team and production capacity, committed to bringing traditional imperial porcelain closer to the lives of the general public.

Graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Jingdezhen College In 1999, he was introduced to the art of famille rose ceramics by a famous veteran artist in Jingdezhen.
From 2002 to 2010, I worked at Jingdezhen Zhongyi Antique Porcelain Factory, where I was systematically engaged in the design and production of Qing Dynasty famille rose art ceramics.
In November 2011, the artwork "Flowers Bloom in Wealth and Prosperity" won the Gold Award in the Masterpieces Exhibition Competition of the 6th China Beijing International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo.
From 2011 to 2017, a pastel design and production team was formed, and pastel production techniques were innovated.
The Xuyao ​​brand was founded in 2018.
In the autumn of 2018, the works "Sunflower and Goji Berry" pair of bowls and "Flowers Bloom in Wealth" general's jar were successfully sold at high prices at the China Guardian 2018 Autumn Auction.
In March 2019, I participated in the "Huayuan Hands-on" Spring Training Course on Ancient Ceramics Appreciation organized by the China Collectors Association. In the same year, I participated in the 39th Advanced Training Course on Ancient Ceramics Appraisal at the Jingdezhen International Ceramic Culture Exchange Center.
In May 2019, the company won the "Top Ten Teaware Brands" award and the "Excellent Enterprise" award at the China Jingdezhen International Tea Ware Industry Expo.
In January 2020, we sponsored the filming and production of the public service film "Love Is All Around Us: The Most Beautiful People of the Porcelain Capital".
In August 2021, the work "Xu Kiln Nine Peach Five Blessings Treasure Pearl Jar" won the Special Prize in the 10th "Earth Award" China Ceramic Innovation and Design Competition.
In October 2020, it was selected for the filming of CCTV's "Handmade China" program, specifically the segment "I Am Your Porcelain," which focuses on the inheritance of famille rose porcelain craftsmanship.
In 2021, Taoyi Culture Development Co., Ltd. of Taowen Tourism Group officially authorized Jingdezhen Xuyao ​​as its strategic partner to provide creative derivative works of famille rose porcelain for the Palace Museum Imperial Kiln Museum and Beijing Guomao Store.
In February 2022, he was selected as a representative craftsman of the famille rose porcelain technique in the first season of the "Hundred Craftsmen Project - Seeing the Ingenuity of the East" documentary series.

Over the past 20 years, Xu Zhijun has been engaged in the art of famille rose ceramics. He has created more than 350 original works that have been reviewed and issued copyright registration certificates by the Jiangxi Provincial Copyright Bureau. He continues to create new works and actively applies for copyright protection.
