National-level inheritor of Tibetan tea making techniques (intangible cultural heritage)

Gan Yuxiang

Tibetan tea and Han tea are one family

Gan Yuxiang was born into a family of tea merchants.
Inheriting their fathers' special affection for the border tea industry and the Tibetan people,
With his passion and dedication to the making of border tea,
After more than ten years of unremitting efforts
The two varieties of border tea that have remained unchanged for a long time are Kangzhuan and Jinjian.
In just four years, the number of varieties has increased to more than 50.

The name of "Border Tea" was changed to "Tibetan Tea".
The proposed approach is "Tibetan tea for Han consumption, border tea for domestic sales, and coarse tea processed with refinement."
This completely changed the history of Tibetan tea being used exclusively in Tibetan areas for over a thousand years.

In the past four years,
"Tibetan tea and Han Chinese drinking" has become the guiding principle for the sustainable development of the Tibetan tea industry in Ya'an.
Tibetan tea has also become a new calling card for Ya'an city.

When the 11th Panchen Lama visited Gan Yuxiang's tea shop,
Pick up a brick of Gan Yuxiang's personally crafted Tibetan tea.
After carefully smelling the aroma of the tea, I couldn't help but praise it.

Signed by the 11th Panchen Lama

Zhao Qingtao, head of Dayatang, and teacher Gan Yuxiang
