The seat of the plum blossom stool is made of five sections of ebony in a rounded shape, joined together to form a plum blossom pattern. A black persimmon wood panel is inlaid in the center, and the plum blossom pattern in the panel echoes the frame, which is quite ingenious. There is no waist, and it has a mortise and tenon joint structure with a cusped apron. The five legs are thicker at the top and thinner at the bottom, turning slightly outward at the bottom to form a ruyi shape, resting on a base with five tortoise feet.
