The tea box is shaped like a begonia flower and made of Burmese rosewood, with a rich and vibrant red color. The box is intricately carved, with rich layers of detail. On a background of dense swastika patterns, continuous gourd and vine motifs are carved, along with plump lychees exuding a fragrant aroma, butterflies fluttering among the flowers, creating a scene of high summer. The lid and sides of the box feature rectangular and square panels, each carved with gourd and vine patterns and lotus flowers, resulting in a magnificent and opulent piece.
The box, made of Burmese rosewood, is a replica of a Qianlong-era carved lacquer box. The body is covered with a brocade-like pattern, adorned with auspicious motifs, and meticulously carved. The lid is a rectangular, hexagonal shape with beveled corners. The full carving technique exudes elegance and luxury. The lid is carved with a coiled dragon, its scales finely detailed, its claws sharp, surrounded by ten flanking tigers, majestic and powerful. A fan-shaped wave pattern is also intricately detailed. A band of banana leaf patterns encircles the double-framed edge. The four sides are thick, with deep carvings of the Eight Treasures within openwork panels, creating rich layers. The entire piece is meticulously crafted, intricately detailed, and fully decorated.
