The "Autumn Water Jade Button" pure silver teapot has an elegant shape and a slender form, as captivating as autumn water.

The term "Autumn Waters" first appeared in the *Zhuangzi* (specifically, the chapter "Autumn Floods"): "When the autumn waters arrive, all the rivers flow into the Yellow River." It refers to the river waters in autumn. The most famous example is found in the Tang Dynasty poet Wang Bo's line, "The setting sun and the lone wild goose fly together; the autumn waters blend with the vast sky." The Song Dynasty poet Wang Anshi also wrote, "Autumn waters pour into the bright river, stretching far beneath the lotus blossoms," another beautiful line. In the Gongfu tea ceremony, the techniques of "high pouring from the suspended pot" or "Mengchen's rain" evoke the imagery of converging rivers, making "Autumn Waters" a fitting metaphor for tea. This has thus become a classic name for tea ware.

This teapot's body resembles an olive, with graceful shoulders and a long neck, exuding an antique charm in its shape, spirit, and form. The lid is raised, naturally supporting a round jade bead knob. The inner and outer lines are turned outwards and fit together tightly. The teapot has a small, hammered body, a short, straight mouth, a jade knob, and an ebony handle. The sulfur treatment removes any ostentation and adds a touch of antiquity.
