May the Three Jewels bless you with blessings and wisdom đđđ Wisdom, peace, and compassion đđđ
The Buddha statue is made of sandalwood for clothing and mammoth skin.
The Buddha is depicted with a compassionate and dignified expression, his eyes looking down, his head topped with a rounded, spiral-shaped bun. His right arm is bent and raised to his chest, fingers outstretched, palm facing outward, in the Abhaya Mudra (gesture of reassurance). This gesture signifies the Buddha's great compassion for all sentient beings, bringing them peace of mind and freedom from fear. His left hand holds a begging bowl to his chest. The Buddha sits on an inverted lotus pedestal, appearing exceptionally solemn and serene.
The shaping, polishing, facial features, hands, and feet of the Buddha statue were completed through the collaborative efforts of six craftsmen. Among the collaborating masters were Zhao Shihai and Zheng Chunhui, and the project took several months to complete.
