The armchairs are a pair, made of black rosewood and black persimmon wood, in the style of Song Dynasty armchairs, with an elegant and antique style. The crest rail and armrests are straight, intersecting with the upper part of the front and back legs. The backrest is also straight, with a round black persimmon wood inlay on the upper part. The seat has a latticework frame with rattan inlay, and the edges are recessed. The upper part of the front and back legs extends through the seat to the ground, forming the legs, with a slight slant. There are curved aprons at the upper part between the legs and double stretchers at the lower part. Between the stretchers are carved fish-eye-shaped brackets, and there are also curved corner braces below the stretchers.
