This silver tea caddy is made of thick, solid material with an excellent feel. The interior is gilded silver, and the lid and body feature a unique, naturally swaying, and rhythmic banana leaf scroll pattern. The side of the lid is stamped with information such as the year, city, and maker. The pattern was created using a special technique: the inner wall was filled with rosin, which solidified, and then the pattern was hammered and chiseled onto the outside.
