1918 British sterling silver gilt flask

This is a classic English portable flask, featuring a sterling silver base and lid. The base is gilded inside, and the silver stamp is clearly visible. The base can be detached and used as a personal wine glass. The stamp indicates that it was made during the reign of George V.

In 1775, Jonathan Mappin opened his first silversmithing workshop in Sheffield, the precursor to Mappin & Webb, with the mission of crafting the finest silverware for the British upper class. No one could have predicted that the company would later expand globally, obtaining a Royal Warrant and commissions from monarchs around the world, ultimately becoming synonymous with exquisite craftsmanship and the authentic British Imperial brand.

Note: Overall condition is good, but there is a dent on the top cover.
