Ming-style melon-shaped tea cabinet with rounded corners

African Zambian rosewood (bloodwood)
Maximum length: approximately 80cm; width: approximately 42cm; height: approximately 120cm

This Ming-style tea cabinet with rounded corners and melon-shaped ribs is entirely made of round wood, with a prominent round molding (cabinet cap) on top, hence its name. The uprights and legs are not separate, but rather formed from a single piece of round wood into melon-shaped legs. The doors are not joined to the cabinet body with hinges, but rather with wooden pivots that are directly inserted. The top edge of the cabinet protrudes, and there are distinct flared legs, tapering at the top and widening at the bottom, commonly known as "outward-facing eight-character," all of which are basic characteristics of Ming-style rounded corner cabinets. The legs are decorated with ruyi patterns, and the rounded corners and melon-shaped legs give this cabinet a stable, elegant, and practical appearance.
