Zhu Ni clay is selective in its maker, and the maker is selective in its clay; most Zhu Ni masters will not make tea if they change the clay. Zhu Ni has a low firing rate and a small tolerance for kiln temperature; the clay has its own properties and should be made in accordance with nature. Therefore, compared to the dazzling brilliance of other Zisha teapots, Zhu Ni teapots have been passed down through the ages for their unassuming, plain shapes and minimalist, restrained lines, maintaining a unique and enduring charm.
Master Qin Xun was obsessed with making Zhuni teapots throughout his life, and his mastery of the spirit and charm of traditional shapes was unparalleled. The owner of Dayatang, having immersed himself in Zhuni teapot making for many years, recommends this classic pear-shaped teapot by Qin Xun.
The pear shape is the most classic form of Zhuni teapot, which is said to have been created by Hui Mengchen and has been seen in various dynasties.
With its minimalist and understated lines, each line designed as a tangent to a circle, and a low center of gravity, this teapot boasts the most stable shape among round vessels. Its unassuming and simple form showcases the unique charm of the Zhu Ni teapot.

This small teapot has a slender and elegant spout with three bends, varying in thickness, commonly known as "beauty's legs," reflecting the unique aesthetic of the Qing Dynasty.
The Zhao Zhuang Zhu Ni teapot develops an antique charm with age, revealing a delicate and vibrant red color when rinsed with hot water, with a fleeting purplish sheen appearing on the surface. The vermilion is a subtle, understated red, a stable color, dense yet not slippery, with beautiful flowing patterns. It has shrunk by approximately 28-30%, creating the unique, slightly wrinkled texture of the Zhu Ni clay. Occasionally, black spots formed from iron deposits are visible, further adding to its weathered appearance.
