An 1884 British sterling silver tea caddy with relief floral and figure designs. It has a cylindrical body with a full dome. The body is decorated with symmetrical classic acanthus leaf patterns, with a bell-shaped flower hanging in the center. Small palm leaf patterns are chased above and below, arranged in an orderly manner. The lid is decorated with a mythological story. The patterns are natural, with undulating waves, which are quite rhythmic and exquisite.
The four silver labels are clear and intact.
